Default 2001 PT Cruiser LE

I recently got this car from my dad after he passed away, I drove it from Illinois to Georgia and while in route, The ABS and Break lights came on, I got it looked at and the nothing could be found. About 3 days later. I was backing out of a parking lot and it died. I tried to crank it and it would turn over, but not fire. So i did the dodge dance and it came up with, cam sensor, so i replaced it, and again tried to crank, after about 15 seconds, it started and ran rough for about 10 seconds and dies again, I did the dance again and got a crankshaft sensor error, so i had a tow truck pick it up. The garage replaced it and cleared the codes, and it wouldn't start, so they said they swapped the coil pack and it still wouldn't start, now they think it's the ICM and said the part is $600, I cannot find a ICM listed anywhere in the manuals.

Any suggestions?

Sounds like the timing belt jumped a tooth or two

Agree with others.
You need to move your car to a competent shop.
Why would they replace the coil? Nothing indicates coil was bad.
They are just throwing parts and guessing....

Check the wiring harness between the crank sensor and the cam sensor. Most likely the parts were good to begin with. On that model it can come loose and rub the axle or something. CREWZEN had this very thing happen to him. Please let us know the outcome of this.

If the wiring that I mentioned is damaged you won't have Ignition or fuel delivery. That dictated by the timing and that is done with the crank and cam sensors. We just had a person on here a few days ago with that problem on a later model.
