Pt is running stronger then before?

Yesterday I went through the Walmart cut through in my area. Its a four way intersection with 2 way stop, the other two way is constant moving. I went to pull out of the stop sign and go accross. I gave the pt some juice to shoot across rather quickly. I guess my tires hit the white strip on the ground near the stop sign because the tires spun all the way through 1st to 2nd gear. Its not like I could stop because by the point I was in the middle, and the car was to close for me to stop because they thought I was going through.

It was not wet or anything, and I have an N/A PT auto. This has never happen before. I did not floor it.

Has this happen to anyone else.

I believe my limiter thing has finally burned out.

I have an 03' 5 spd Touring edition and I can make the tires spin shifting from 1 to 2. People say that the 2.4L is too weak, but I think it's quite a strong little engine. I wouldn't worry about the spinning, just keep your foot out of it and it'll be OK.

I will admit I liked it, knowing it was faster then before. But I don't want to wear out my tires too quick.
