Default ECM location

Trying to find the location of the ECM computer on a 2004 PT. Any special tricks to getting to it and getting it out for replacement? Any tips on replacing with a used one that's been reprogrammed. Thx.

First, welcome to the forum from the great sovereign state of Arkansas! You should introduce yourself in the new members section and tell us about your PT.

Your ECM is in the engine bay on the firewall on the drivers side.

I bought my replacement from these folks. They sell on eBay too. Their units come with a lifetime warranty.

Here a listing by these fine folks for an ECM that may fit your PT. You will need to contact them to verify. The cost is $149 exchange with free shipping.

Shame on you, Nitro!

Someone with PT in their blood like you should have recognized that the photo I supplied does not show a much-coveted and highly-prized 2001 PT like mine. It's a later version like the OP's 2004 model.

Have faith that my extremely rare and "custom" double strut bars are still busy at work "improving the handling" on my PT.
