Red face 2007 PT Cruiser giving 2 codes

Hello, my 07 Cruiser gave me two codes last night that I need to fix asap. The first code is P0700 ((transaxel control module) I had Auto Zone run the diagnostic last night as soon as my check engine light came on.) The second code that I got from them is P0420 (Engine oil leakage into exhaust- valve guide seals piston rings). I'm getting ready to move in three weeks going from Las Vegas to Seattle and I'm hoping some one can help direct me in the right direction so my brother can fix this for me so I don't have to miss time that I need to spend packing.

Lisa, I've also PM'd you this same information since you asked me there.

The first code (P0700) is a generic code for something wrong with the transmission. The ONLY way to dig deeper into what is wrong is with an OBDII scanner from a mechanic or dealer or someone that has bought one for their own use.

The second code (P0420) means there's something wrong with the CAT. Here's a link to show how to diagnose what may be the problem.
