Default Another A/C overheat

Wifes 04 turbo light started getting hot when the A/C is on. Its recently had a thermostat and doesn't over heat when a/c is off. On cold start, the fan is off with a/c off and kicks on right away when you turn on the a/c. I disconnected the fan and was able to get both speeds to kick on with jumpers. I replaced the high speed relay also. Whats left to check or replace?
Thanks

Also a radiator flush - might be crud in radiator. This is particularly likely if temp rises even at highway speeds.
Remember, when A/C is put on, it's because it's hot out, so it's an extra load on cooling system...
