Default P0700 and p0882 codes limp mode

My wifes 07 cruiser base 2.4 105k miles threw two codes yesterday p0700 and p0882. I have no idea were to begin this hunt. Normally I dont get frustrated and have always been able to fix my issues but this one makes me wonder if I should just take it to a mechanic. Do you have any advice on where to start. I have already pulled the battery and tray out. Looked at the wiring harness to see if any loose wires were visible on the top of the harness, saw none. Pulled out some sort of solenoid/sensor from transmission(seems to be two of them, only pulled one the easiest to reach) cleaned of some fine metal shavings. Not sure if I should replace them?. Read another post here stating it could/would be a corroded wire under battery tray. Any help would be appreciated as she needs the vehicle for work monday. If I clear the codes with my actron the car runs and shifts fine until the light comes back on.

Update. Still no luck with this car. Took it to autozone for them to test with the same codes coming up and another code 8846 or something. It disappeared on its own go figure while driving home. Guess its off to a shop monday to get taken to the cleaners. Told my wife she sucks for picking this pos and it will be sold shortly

Dropped it off at mechanic monday morning, spoke to him this morning and he said they still cant locate the problem. Could be pcm, short or transmission. Stopped him at transmission and told him its clearly electrical because if codes are cleared using scan tool tranny shifts fine so its not mechanical. Its going to cost about $300-$400 for them to tell me they couldnt find squat I curse this flipping car and my wife for choosing it.

Update, spent $492 on diagnostics and changing the trans solenoid. Issue came right back, big waste of money. Shop wanted me to bring the veh back for further diagnostics. Decided not to as he was already leaning to change the pcm. Im not paying some douche to throw parts at my car hoping to fix the issue. I went out and found a tipm from an 09 turbo with 65k miles and swapped them out. So far after 30 miles no more lights. Gave wife permission to drive it to work on the highway. She had no issue, she will be home shortly and if it doesnt come back on I would say the issue is FIXED

Sure hope that did fix it.
Yours is not a common fix.
Could you see anything wrong with old one? Corrosion?

Quick, I havent opened it up to inspect the internals yet. It seems based on research the 06-07 tipm were crappy and prone to failure. Its been about 70 miles since swapping out them out with no check engine light. Cost me $60 from a guy parting out a low mileage 09 turbo with 65k on it. And cheaper than dealing with a dipstick mechanic that wanted to throw parts at it.

I've been having this same problem. The TIPM was replaced by the dealer in 2010 at a cost of 810.00. I took the car to a recommended mechanic who had it for 10 days and said he couldn't figure it out. May be the tipm or the computer itself. He wasn't sure. He cleared the codes and I drove it home and the light came back on. I really need the car, and I don't have a lot of money but I'm going to have to take to the dealer and I am terrified. I don't trust them and their charges are outrageous. I'm gonna get screwed big time. I also had a transmission specialist look at it and he said it was an electrical problem.

Got a call from the dealership saying it is not the TIPM but that I need a new alternator. ($700). He stated the codes is saying not enough voltage to the TCM and the alternator is not charging all the way. I am hoping this fixes the problem or they can keep the car.
