Default Seems like no one can find the right AC line?

The AC line is leaking on my daughter 04 Cruiser. I've checked all the local auto parts and the can't come up with anything. Stopped at Chrysler and talked to the parts guy, he looked it up and gave me a price. Told him I'd have to wait until she gets paid before buying line. Just to check out the part number I cross checked it at Oriellys and it's not the right line either. One of the local parts stores said they can have a fitting welded on the one pipe and then just recrimp a new fitting on the old hose that will fit the welded on fittng.

Who thought it would be so hard to find that hose.

Crewzin,

That was me, thought that Chrysler knew what they were talking about. I ordered it from Oriellys and went to pick it up this morning, it did not match what is in the car. So, I'm headed back to Chrysler today with the car to see if they can match it. Ortherwise the auto parts store said they can have a fitting welded to the lower pipe where the hose is bad and then crimp the other end of the fitting onto the hose. Said that they do it quite a bit on tractors and combines and they hold up.

I have a used one if you need. The ac lines from dryer to evaporator changed in 04 or 05 to what you're describing. Shoot me a pm if you didn't have any luck on your own and I'll sell you mine cheap.

Why not look in rockauto.com? They show pictures of 99% of everything they sell. I am sure you can find the one you need. For the most part the lines looked almost the same year to year with only the turbo models differing from the rest. Anyway have a look as they carry many brands so one of them has to fit.

Pretty awful picture while I still had the parts in the car (it's all off now), but I think this is what you're looking for. Earlier years had a different setup.

Take the part number the dealer gave you and google it, you'll find other dealers selling that part at half the price. Steve White Parts is a good website to checkout for OEM parts.
