Well, PCV is surely an easy and cheap fix.
Strange it coincided with you changing plug wires.

The spark plugs wire can be effective on a PT + 2000ohms per FT. The wires are less than a foot. Most performance wires are less than 100ohms per foot and low quality wire are generally in the 500-900ohms per foot range.
What all this means is generally speaking most anything on a PT Cruiser because of less than a foot of wire from the coil to the spark plug.

But I like MSD Don likes CRANE(?) etc., etc., etc.

Nice! Glad to hear you got it resolved!

Also you have an understanding wife as I do. Some auto parts needs to be cleaned in the kitchen. I use the dish washer often for cleaning carburetors, turbo housings, etc. i do naturally pre clean the oil or grease and such before using the dish washer.

I've always used the dish machine for air cleaners, valve covers & misc parts...but I've never run a carburetor through it...not sure that I ever would TBO.
Dish machine also works good on computer keyboards...just turn heat off.

I should have been more clear..... Hahaha not assembled carburetors but parts of them. LOL

Think about it for a minute. When you dis assemble a carburetor and clean all the small ports and blow it out the carb cleaner remains. If you run bodies and metering plates through the dish washer using cascade and heat dry the detergent lowers the surface tension of the water cleaning all the parts better than with carb cleaner and the heat completley dries them of any remaining water. I had a dish washer in the machine shop for years and rebuilt hundreds of carbs for myself and customers everything from Holleys , DCOEs, Kiehn, to electrons.

Now you should see what I use the kitchen oven for baking!

LOL go look at early postings on Nitro's PT Cruiser thread!
