How many miles does the car have on it and is the engine light on? If so do you have the trouble codes on it?

Start with spark plugs and wires.

1. Introduce yourself in the new members section.

2. Scan for trouble codes. That will likely tell you where to begin.

3. If you don't have access to a scanner, go to Autozone or Advance and have them scan if for you for free. Instead, you can also do the "Key Dance" get the codes from the odometer screen. But you will still have to look them up. You can learn how to do the Key Dance here:

The factory wires and plugs are well known to be junk and many people have vast improvements after replacing them.
