You might want to email MX-5. I believe I saw earlier posts where he said copper was better for turbo?? (heat dissipation?)
As far as I know, only plugs designed for the PT are Champions.

Jimbo,

Copper Champions are the plug of choice for Chrysler. The part number can be found on the emissions sticker under the hood. Platinum plugs stay too hot (that's why they run cleaner) and cause premature ignition in turbo and supercharged engines.

Bob Stockum and I both agree that you should stick with the Champion copper plugs for the OEM turbo. They ignite the fuel completely. There isn't any unburnt fuel to ignite and find hidden horsepower.
This is what I found both NGK and Champion make copper plugs for the Turbo HO or Lite. Champion 440 RE14MCC5 or NGK 4306 LZTR5A-13. If you want to see pics try this: http://www.turtlecreekforge.com/PT_C...park_plug1.htm File may be too big for dial up guys!!

Can buy anywhere cost should be around $2.50 for the NGK's, champs maybe a quarter less! Try here for net prices: http://www.sparkplugs.com/
