Default Modified intake & exhaust equals no HP gains!???

Check this out: "Bolt On Product Dyno Test Summary": http://www.kennebell.net/techinfo/do.../ptcruiser.pdf

What do you think? Are many after-market CAI and "performance exhaust" MODS really just a waste of money???

The problem I have with that is they aren't showing you dyno sheets for other aftermarket parts, rather they are just saying nothing else really works expect for their brand new product. I'd file it as an advertisement versus genuine tech info.

I agree with Beacon, and I also feel intake and exhaust may not add overall, but they can move the power curve to where I feel it/need it.
My "butt dyno" tells me take-off got better with intake and exhaust. Did top speed change? Dunno & don't care.

Read the bottom of this, "+17 Rear wheel HP" the picture also looks like its running the rear tire turning. It state that they ran it in all 3 gears to 115. Since when has the PT been "Rear wheel drive" and also we all know the govenor doesn't allow the PT to run over 110.

I call c*** or garabage.

They are not talking about a Turbo PT, or if they are they are out to lunch for sure, they mention the only thing good for more HP is their product or a supercharger.

Their kit is so good that they claim "17 rear wheel Horsepower increase!!!!

If it makes my rear wheels make HP I want two of them... One for each wheel...(Notice the zarcasm..)

Specially when our cars are front wheel drive...

They say the only thing that you get ANY gains from is their computer upgrade. Well that is a crock. One of the gearheads over on PTE tried the Kenny Bell upgrade on his highly modified engine and said the gain was more like 4 or 5 Horsepower. He did a before and after dyno run. Like all the other performance products out there Don't believe what you hear and only half of what you read

I agree, the whole mod thing, at least with exhaust and intake primarily shifts the power band without really increasing it.
The Kenne Bell Optimizer plays with fuel maps and the comp program which will change power. The tidbit on exhausts is true tho
