Default intake leak

I have a leak in the lower intake. I know it's not the water pump. I leak all the water out while the car is off. It has been overheating. I need to fix the leak. Can someone explain how to get to the lower intake?

It would be helpful if you could tell us what year, miles, and other information about your PT Cruiser.
Also a little history of what was happening to your PT Cruiser before it overheated and what you have done so far.

Intake does not have coolant flowing through it. You may have a thermostat housing leaking. thats where the radiator cap is located.

Intake refers to air, not coolant.
What are you talking about?
Describe it.

01 pt cruiser, 99k miles. I have checked all hoses from the radiator. Followed the leak to the housing to the water pump. I put stop leak in and didn't help. I let cool down and checked radiator and reservoir, both are empty. Filled back with water and it started leaking out without the car running. I've been told the pump and gasket will only leak if car is running. I believe it is the inlet hose, but don't know how to get to if.I have a picture, but don't know how to upload

It's not the thermostat. It's something by the water pump, unless the thermostat is leaking down to the bottom hose.I don't have a leak at the top, it's on in the housing surrounding the pump

Right above that area you show in your picture is the thermostat housing like Busted_PT has already said. I'd check there for signs of a cracked housing. It's only plastic.
