That probably does not include parts and fluids. And it may be extra to have the water pump and tensioner installed too.

I figure once you've done two or three of these, it's very likely that you can get the labor down into this category if all you do is the belt. In that case, I don't think the upper or lower sprockets have to come off nor the back of the timing case. Then it becomes an easy-peasy 3 or 4 hour job if you already have your tools laid out. Add $200 extra for parts and fluids and you can walk away with $100 per hour if you are fast.

It's probably all labor, add another $500-$600 for the head work & your over a $1000.

Well, where I live in Arizona the cheapest estimate for the timing belt along with water pump and tensioners was $875, dealer wants $1200.

I just had to bite the bullet and put my car in someone else's hands. The water pump started leaking big time. Since then need the car to get to work I had to send it to a garage. Was quoted $700-800 for pump and belt replacement. It will be ready Monday. I just hate paying someone to work on my car.

Good Luck, I worry about someone else not telling me if they accidentally damage something else when they are working on your vehicle. This is why I am looking for another vehicle in case I need to work on one of my vehicles.
