Default 2007 PT Cruiser

When I idle my car (like at a red light) and have my air conditioner or heater on it acts like it going to cut off so I have to turn off air/heat and then it does OK. I have replaced the battery just the other day. This morning I warmed the car up before leaving and forgot about the problem and when I started driving it cut off completely but restarted right away (thank goodness). Any ideas as to why this may be happening?

Air conditioning puts a load on the engine, but heat doesn't. When was last time you replaced plugs and wires?

It would be good to have a little history on the PT Cruiser such as mileage, what has been replaced lately, etc.
Have you checked your radiator fan? When they go bad sometimes they make the engine run rough at an idle when you have the air conditioning on.

Great idea. If you put some good data in, you will get some useable information out. Or, as we used to say when I was a computer wonk "GIGO".
