I called Pep Boys on the Raybestos Quiet stop ceramics and they had them in stock ready for me to pick up for 56.99 two front pads.

Looks like I will be getting pads tonight and ready for my service check at dealer sometime this week I hope.

Quicksilverdon,
That's DOT 3/SAE J1703 brake fluid you want to add, not ATF 4 or ATF 5 to the reservoir.

D'oh! [xx(]
I did read posts about ATF in power steering pump, but not brakes - good catch! Sorry!
(when I changed the fluid in my auto, ATF4 & 5 were drilled in my head)

OLDTIMERS.

Man,
Pep boys tried to jerk me around lastnight when picking up the pads. When I called I cleared said "Raybestos, quiet stop pads for a 03 PT cruiser." When I got there they had given me Prostop pads for 56.99. The Raybestos are 79.99.

I guess they figured I would go higher, I think not. I took the Prostops. Heck any ceramic compound pads are better then some crappy stock pads, right.

Two good things however, I did find some chrome door trim I've being looking for and there was a pretty hot young girl at the checkout counter I got to talk to a little.
