If you mean the HO turbo and the turbo lite model, they are exactly the same in the engine area except the computer is de-tuned to run on regular fuel thus the reduced HP output.

OK Cal, I don't have a turbo, but did you mean to say that if you reprogramed a computer in a turbo-lite PT, you can get it to run at the HO rate of 220 HP? Hmmm, rice killer PT at bargain basement price! I may have to look into that! [?]

stage 1 GT HO or stage 1 turbo lite will have same HP numbers. You will not get all the fancy GT stuff like suspension and brakes and upgraded interior on the lite and it will cost thousands less. If you want to customise your Cruiser in those areas anyway then it seems to me it is a good deal.

Stage, HO, Lite, GT, NA?!

My understanding was something like this:

'04 Turbo Lite - 180HP
'04 Turbo Lite stage 1 kit - 220HP
'04 Turbo High Output - 220HP

'03 GT Turbo - 215HP
'03 GT Turbo Stage 1 - 235HP

Is that close?

I e-amiled K&N about there intake and their response was "currently we do not offer any products that have been specifically identified for use with for your vehicle".

04 turbo lite . I ordered a 57-1531 it fit fine no problems.
It says it fits 03 turbo.

With anything you can buy a cheap product that someone made that probly doesnt even own that brand car or you can buy a product from a person that owns, drives, fixes up that car, has done months of resurch, dyno's on that product to make sure it acutaly gives you better performance..

Mike has a turbo light.. I use his car for all my testing since he still has his battery and stock intake box, no boost controler or anything that we could play with to make it look like we made more HP then actual results..

The turbo light 04-05 have the fuel injectors that come with the stage one kit.. The ECU however is made to run on other than 91 octain gas so it is a little less HP then regular GT's.. Good thing though is if you have that model and wanted STAGE 1 (like mike) all you have to do is order a new ECU.. cheaper than ordering the hole stage one kit and way easier to put in..

Speaking of convertables.. and turbo modles.. I am looking for a convertable that is going to fix there car up.. go to shows to give one of my systems to.. email me at
baggedptturbo03@aol.com or prototypepower@aol.com

Thanks.. ADAM
