Just looking again - what happens in pouring rain? Won't rain get into intake?

Rain will not get in enough to hurt anything and the water that does get in dissipates from the engine heat.

No problems recorded with water from other owners.

Just doing a google search there are posts even on this site about this hood dating back to 2003. So it's not really new, but new to us!

Beautiful hood and I want one!! lol It is expensive so I probably will never have one, but I love it; especially when I see it on a Tangerine Dream!!

Hoods

There is also a slightly different ram air hood which is about half the price, but I don't know if it is actually functional or not.

These hood scoops and air filter mods will do negligible IAT results on *Turbo Charged PT Cruisers. IDK about NA PT's. They may effect* heat soak and in some circumstance control engine compartment temperatures. Tested.....airflowed, airspeed, engine operating temperatures tested NA conditions & up to .41pa, DATA repeat tested info confirmed.
*Anyone doing any data acquisition testing I would be happy to compare my DELTAS and tested results with yours!
