Default TPS Sensor installment

I had to clean out the throttle body and was replacing the TPS Sensor. I notice in placing the TPS Sensor back on, it requires rotating it clockwise or counterclock wise to match the bolt holes. Can't remember. Any help out there. geardowno7

Default Re: TPS Sensor installment

stab the wires with a multimeter. KOEO idle should be around .6v, WOT should be around 4.5v. use the OR/DB and BK/LB wires.

or the technical method from alldata, just guessing you have a 2007 PT NA vin B:
---------
1- The throttle shaft end of the throttle body slides into a socket in the TPS. Note to make sure that the rubber O-ring is in place and seated around the TPS rotor housing surface. The socket has two tabs inside it. The throttle shaft rests against the tabs. When indexed correctly, the TPS can rotate clockwise a few degrees to line up the mounting screw holes with the screw holes in the throttle body. The TPS has slight tension when rotated into position. If it is difficult to rotate the TPS into position, reinstall the sensor with the throttle shaft on the other side of the tabs in the socket of the TPS. Tighten mounting screws to 6.2 Nm (55 in. lbs.) torque.

2- After installing the TPS, the throttle plate should be closed. If the throttle plate is open, install the sensor on the other side of the tabs in the socket.
---------

after you get your issue resolved, you should go here and introduce yourself, add your location to your profile, and perhaps a few pictures of your car. the more helpful people here tend to like that.
