Question "no fuse" message

While out running errands today, my 2007 threw out a "no fuse" message on the odometer. It ran fine but my radio, clock, power locks, all failed. Of course, driving to the mechanic , the locks kicked in at 20 MPH and locked.

I got it to the mechanic's and left it all day. They couldn't find anything wrong. Same thing happened a few weeks ago when my motor fan wouldn't turn off and drained my battery while I was at work. Took it in, and they couldn't find anything wrong.

What gives?

There are reports of radio going out due to ignition switch malfunctioning, but I don't recall any report of a "no fuse" message.
Did radio come back and "no fuse" go away?

Left it at the shop all day, and now everything works. The radio and clock (digital and analog), power lock switch (inside) and keyless entry (outside) all work fine. I don't get it.

Of course my mechanic probably thinks I'm bonkers.

How many miles do you have on the PT Cruiser?
Is it a non-turbo?
Has the radiator fan ever been replaced?

On your "No fuse" issue I would suggest checking the IOD fuse. It may not be making good contact. If its checks out good make sure its pushed in all the way.

Is this the first time the "No fuse" came on?
