Another Crank Pulley Problem

Default Another Crank Pulley Problem

I am replacing the timing belt on our 2001 pt sport edition. 2.4L. I have it down to removing the crank pulley, I rented the OEM puller and started cranking, everything appeared ok at first 'til it popped off the first time. I took a good look at the pulley and realized that it was coming off at an ANGLE!!! Only 2 of the teeth (3 tooth puller) had fully latched on. Now I can't get the 3rd tooth to bite. How screwed am I? Any suggestions?

If you get one of these 4" modle. Set it up the same as this pic. You will need to take a leg off to get all three in. Then bolt it back on. Can't pull out. You first might need to reinstall the bolt in the balancer and pull it back on a little to get it square on the shaft. If that get you going you might care for some more tips to get you through this smother.

HARMONIC BALANCER & CRANK SPROCKET REMOVEL AND INSTALL TOOL AND TIPS!!!!

Take lot of pics before and after install of the belt for references.
