Default 2006 Touring-dash lights up, then wants to stall

My 2006 cruiser's dash lights up while I am driving, and it wants to stall out. After reading some of the threads I have realized it could be a few things...actually, it made me realize the car was "talking" to me but I didnt listen to the signs till now that the dash is lighting up.

My car was hit on the front about a year or so maybe more. It was fixed, and after that I noticed sometimes, out of nowhere, my whippers would come on and then shut off. I still notice this now, but I also just noticed my passenger air bag light is on also. This is all happening after the shifting wire was replaced two months ago.

What should I start eliminating before I start to deal with the TIPM or should I go straight to that?

car mileage is 135k

I would suggest starting off with checking the ground wires going to the drivers inside fender. The ground wires might be corroded inside where you can't see it so check it out completely. Also check the battery fluid level. The fluid level seems to go down next to both the negative and the positive posts. The PT Cruisers are sensitive to voltage drops.
