Question Code U0031 Problem

I have an 06 Gt with turbo and have this code coming up.
(U0031)
The person that read the code for me, said it is a failure to
communicate! Or one component not able to interact with
the main computer. It also at times will not shift out of third
gear. It is an automatic trans. You can stop and shut it off
then restart and it will work fine for extended periods of time.
We only have about 65 thous. miles on the car. Have any of
you had the same or similar problems? PTpreacher

Boy, you've been away for a while!!
You certainly don't drive much.
The code indicates a low bus voltage...
Are you on original battery? Start with having battery checked - many places do it free - pick 2 and see if they agree.

Could be a bad ground, but I have no familiarity with your problem - sorry.

I have not had this problem but I would suggest checking the wires going to your transmission module. Make sure the connector is good and making good contact. When you have a loss of communication from one of your modules and the transmission having an issue its possible the two are related. You might want to look at your transmission solenoid and see if that is working properly.
