Default Engine bay cover

Does anyone know what year(s)/trim(s) had this part? I would like to get one for my 05 if I can. Also, embarrassed to ask, but what is the specific name for this part? The big red part in this photo covering the throttle cables and all.

PS Crewzin I found this image on Google. I looked through a lot trying to find a different one but this was the only one I could find. Your Cruiser is soooo nice.

I believe the correct term is engine modesty cover, and it was only available on 2001 and 2002 Cruisers.

I think think this is correct info. Someone will chime in if I am mistaken.

Yep..

The modesty or "vanity" covers only came on 2001 and 2002 models. Besides the cover itself, you will need the retainer pins of any 2001/2002 PT.

Here's a photo of the one that was on my 2001 Limited:

Actually, I think I read they started deleting them late in the '02 model run.
The cover pushes onto long studs - the "retainer pins" Handy mentions.

I saw your project post about addidn the logo to the top. I like the way it turned out.

Just pull up (yank) on the top to remove - I believe there are 4 "posts" you need to take with the top to mount it on yours.

There are 3 posts...and I've read that if you don't get the original ones, the aftermarket posts are a little longer & you can hear it rattle.

I have one with the 3 standard posts ready to go if interested. I would let go for $35 shipped.

Bubba

I believe I have an emblem that would fit on the top as well if you need one of those. If you want the emblem make it $40 shipped.
