King, If it were me I'd gap at .045 for the n/a. I still think that .050 is too wide. Thats my personal preference....

I'll be installing my Champion double platinums, screamin demon coil and magnecore 8.5mm wires tomorrow after work. I'm gapping the plugs at .045". I will let the forum know the out come.

Champion double platinum plugs gapped @ .045 installed, Magnecore 8.5m wires added and everything topped off with a Screamin Demon coil. Top speed went from 98mph to 106mph and I can now spin the tires from a dead stop. I couldn't achieve that small feat before.
One strange thing though. The thread that gives instructions on changing plugs mentions removing the EGR line from the back of the intake runner manifold. My car does not have one of these attached to the manifold. The mounting bosses are there as is the hole where the tube would go, just no EGR line. (The one held on with a 8mm and 13mm bolts) Did they do away with this for later 2003 models? There was no line hanging down and the car runs great.
I have pictures but can't figure how to put them up on this forum. E-Mail me and I'll send them to you.

Sorry, my e-mail is: snakepitt1@aol.com
I have pictures of each stock plug that came out as well as the area showing no egr tube. Oh, showing the new wires, coil and plugs.

Sounds like I need to change my plugs.

What tools did you use?

8mm for the 5 intake runner bolts. 13mm for the TWO (2)bolts that hold the throttle body to the bracket. The DIY thread only mentions one of these bolts. Then regular spark plug socket. I did not have the EGR tube in the back of my manifold like the DIY thread mentions. Strange huh? I took pictures along the way but can't figure how to post them. Send me your e-mail address and I'll send them to you.

2003 non turbo automatic PT with 28,000 miles. Plugs, wires and coil change.
Intake runner hanging, time to go to work

Here are the plugs. Gap these at .045" for non turbos.

The Magnecore wires

And the screamin Demon coil

My vehicle did not have the EGR tube that the do it yourself links mention. I wonder why?

The intake runner bolts are 8mm, the throttle body to bracket bolts, there are TWO, are 13mm.
To get the coil off, you have to push this little red tab towards the firewall, then you can pull the connector off.

Here are pictures of the plugs that came out.
Plug from cylinder #1

Plug from clyinder #2

Plug from cylinder #3

Plug from cylinder #4

Here everything is installed. Make sure you use anti-sieze on the plug threads. Torque is 13 ft/lbs

Finally me, the happy owner

Good luck with your plug adventures.
