Default Please help! Ac out!

Im new here. My girlfreinds AC is blowing hot air put the vents. Ive read up quite extensive on here but cant figure out what is wrong. When we turn on the ac I can hear the compressor klicking on and off. The fan comes on as well. The line (low line i think) that you refill is cold so does that mean there is still freon in there? I also saw this youtube video online where the guy just replaced the low pressure valve cause it was broke.

Could that be the problem? And how do i check it? Can i just unscrew it and shake? Dont want to waste a bunch of money or get ripped off at the mechanic.

Any help is appreciated.

With the engine cold, start the engine, turn on the A/C, does the radiator fan come on immediately?

Not at home right now but yes I believe so. What would that mean?

When the low speed on the radiator fan does not work it will not cool the condenser on the A/C allowing the pressure to get too high and shut down the A/C.

How do I tell if the low speed is working or not?

you should see it cycle with the compressor.

-- Well, here we have the most clearly stated, two line post explaining my
problem. Who would have thought a problem in the cooling system, would
cause another problem in the A/C system. But that is exactly what has happened in my case. WHEW! Thank God for these forums. You guys are the Greatest.

Yes it starts immediately, so that should mean the radiator fan is fine right?
Yes it cycles with the compressor

how cold does the line goes, does it sweat after some time?....if not, then most likely you're quite low on freon.
