Default 2001 PT Cruiser A/C Recharge

A/C was working fine and then quite cooling. System had lost freon because of a leaking low pressure schrader valve. I replace both schrader valves and also replace all of the o-rings and gaskets with a kit.

Recharged system and now will not cool. A/C clutch engages for a couple of seconds and then disengages for about 10 seconds. Each time the high fan comes on. Radiator fan is working fine. I jumped the low pressure switch and it still does the same thing. Don't understand this. The high pressure line is cold and sweating, but the low pressure line is warm.

When clutch is cycling, these are the gauge reading I get:
-70 psi on the low side and 50 on the high side before clutch engages
-drops to 30 psi on low side and 25 on high side (then clutch disengages)
-repeats cycle

Wondering if the orifice in the liquid line is bad and wide open not allowing compression? Orifice is built into the liquid line hose from the lower side of condenser. Maybe the compressor is bad because I have never seen it go over 50 psi?
