Default Haunted Power Window

Twice last fall one (not the same one) of my back windows just went down on its own. I never found out what caused it, but this morning it happened again....only THIS time, the window refuses to go back up. What can be wrong?! I drive a 2002.

Welcome to the Forums, Anna.
The problem is most likely with the rear switches. There are 2 switches at the back of the center console that control the rear windows. People can easily hit them with their feet. Check that nothing is blocking the switches. If not, switch may have been damaged. Isn't there a rocker switch on the dash by the window switches? That should switch out the rear switches - flip that and then try closing from the front switch. Let us know.

uhhhhhh (I feel so sheepish) I had forgotten about the back switches even being there! There was a heavy light fixture pinned on the switch. Thank you for saving me the humiliation of my local Chrysler dealer finding it during my appt!!!!!!!!!!

Anna,
MOST of us have been there done that, I had a fold-up bag chair back there doing the same thing, now I leave the back windows locked out up front!
When I bought my 02 it didn't have cruise control, I got the dealer to install it in the deal, when I went out to the car the cruise stalk was upside down on the left side of the wheel, I went back into the service dept and asked for a explanation, the tech came out and turned the wheel 180deg and all was well, DUH!!!![:0] But this was the first car I owned that the cruise stalk turned with the wheel.

Same thing has happened 3 times, back left side? Give it a good rap with the heal of your hand and it goes back up.
