Lol, it's me again.
I know my pt is always struggling with something For about a month, my pt jerks and bucks when I'm trying to ease to a stop(stop and go traffic is a beast) I was thinking about changing the transmission fluid and filter, b/c I don't recall doing that when I got the car years ago. I saw in another thread, someone discouraged doing that if your car is having an issue. That makes me wonder, how do I go about this? I'm trying to find a mechanic I trust (I sued a mechanic over a faulty timing job and won. Another mechanic I used after him, was rude and over priced) It's like the car is prematurely breaking @3mph...if that makes sense. When the car is on and in neutral, even if I'm on a hill, it won't roll back, if the car is off and in neutral, it will. I have to always give my car gas just to reverse. |

Is your engine light on? If so what are the engine trouble codes? If you don't have a OBDII Scan Tool you can take it to some auto parts store and they should be able to do it for free.

In my humble opinion, it sounds like sticking brake calipers. Either that or the emergency brake is stuck in the on position.

My check engine light isn't on, so there's no codes.
I'll have to check my brakes. thanks for the suggestions. ![]() |
