Default A/C problem

Hi everyone! I have a 2002 cruiser. We had a leak in the low pressure hose, so we replaced that, the ac high pressure switch, the low pressure switch, and the system is charged to the proper level. I jumped the compressor so I know it works. The relay is also good. I am still not getting power to the compressor. What next??

Does the compressor cycle or is it not coming on at all when you turn on the A/C?

If your low speed fan does not automatically come on when you turn on the A/C with the engine cold you need to check the low speed on the radiator fan. Check the wiring going to the radiator fan. Apply 12 volts to the low speed on the radiator fan and see if it comes on. Check and make sure the wires are connected to the A/C. The PCM needs to get communication from the A/C. Some members have found the A/C connector had fallen off not letting the PCM know that the A/C is on.

How did you change the high pressure switch? I just cannot remove it.

Additional troubleshooting should be performed to determine what the problem is before removing the high pressure switch. An A/C gauge set is required to determine what is really happening with the A/C system. Post what pressure you find on the low and high pressure sides.
