Can take it to mechanic tomorrow, wait.
WTF is a P0335? Getting a code once someone explained it, is easier on this car than any other. It was rough at first, ran all the way home. Removed red side battery cable, re-attached, it went home fine. Rev it, goes to 3k, then starts rocking the car side to side. Otherwise, always reads dead In the middle for temp, but after it stalled, waited, and the engine was waaaay too hot, but the thermostat still In the center. Added gas, most ever, said just under quarter full, 13 gallons added. Added a b-12 chemtool to it, ran better. Any ideas? |

P0335 = No Crankshaft Position Signal
Causes: No signal from PCM No 5 volts No Crank sensor ground 5 volts shorted to ground Make sure your battery is good. I suggest doing a battery load test to make sure your battery and generator is working properly. I would suggest checking the Crankshaft position sensor connector. Make sure its making good contact. Has the engine been rebuilt recently? Timing belt? What year is your PT Cruiser? Last edited by ptcruisersteve; 17 Aug 2015 at 02:05 am. |

Only check the wire harness rubbing on the half shaft if it's a 2001 or 2002 PT Cruiser.

We jumped a woman who after we jumped her last time, our car gave ius problems. It starts to gag, then dies. It's always hot afterwards, but the temp gauge is fine. My mother paid my stepson to wipe oil over the timing belt 2 years ago, to sabotage it. A year ago this past February, we had the timing belt replaced. Everything was fine until April, when we ran the a/c, and then it started to act up around that time. We had a p0300 about a month ago. I caught someone near the tail end of the car about that time, and have run 2 b-12 chemtools, 3 sea foam, and 1 isosheet thru it. It always acts better after it initially. Once it cools down, it is okay. I also had a quart of oil disappear a couple of times from it, figured it was intentional sabotage, then the radiator reserve emptied, and I could not buy HOAT replacement anywhere In the state, couldn't get it sent by mail, either, not sure why. I have refilled the reserve 2 times with water. It is a 4 door, normal engine made in 2007. I had the battery tested while In the car at autozone, it was fine. Shoot, cps. I had that problem on my ford windstar AFTER the fuel was prestoned. Could that be it, or just the timing belt going bad again? |

Isn't the year of your PT Cruiser a 2007?

Yes. It was the cps, too. It is working fine now. The guy said the car could have heated up, then caused the sensor to fail.
I had oil drained out, and then filled the reservoir for the radiator twice with water only. I have a gallon of Cybex Z05, I want to replace the water. How do I do it? Drain plug on the radiator driver side, or using the bleeder valve by the thermostat? |
