Broken
Greetings all. I noticed a broken wire protruding out from under my hood and when I opened it to see what had happened here is what I found. Can anyone tell me what I have broken and advise? Is a replacement part available or do I need to find out what kind of wire and fabricate this connection. What is it supposed to do?

Ground wire. Just replace the connector and reattach.

No, that's not why your remote key doesn't work. Mine was broken too and my key worked fine. BUT, you should now have a working under the hood light if you put a new connector on it. I picked up a spare one the last time I went to the pull a part. Ground wire, not light!
