Default Time for Plugs?

I have an 01 non/turbo with 33k miles....is it time for Plugs? Car runs fine with alittle throttle hesitation. I know its been talked about forever, but what gap, what plugs, and what wires should I buy?

30,000 miles is when your owners manual tells ya to change plugs. You should spring for new plug wires at the same time. Champion double platinum plugs gapped at .045" will cure the off idle stumble. Magnecore wires are the best (My personal choice). If a coil change is also decided on, the Screamin Demon coil is a good choice. Check out the thread about spark plug gaps, I have lots of pictures taken when I changed my plugs and wires on my 2003 non turbo automatic PT.

Agree. Do wires at same time and don't go stock and you won't be doing it again as soon. I don't feel coil is neccessary or buys you anything unless you have an existing problem, but it can't hurt. I gapped mine at 0.050", as per manual.
Hesitation goes away with an air intake...

Champion plugs
Double platinums, 7440 RE14PLP5
I gapped at .45.

Magnecor KV85 8.5 mm wire competition red in color

This is what I went with.
Couldn't turn tire ever before. But not I can, from a dead stop. I'd say its running better.
