I have been looking at the Dual side exhaust sytem from Trendsetters available from Revel Enterprises. I was wondering if anybody has used this setup and if anyone knows what kind of sound, and horsepower advantage I can expect.

I was considering that option as well. But I didn't because of clearence issues, plus the lack of info I got from CaL Cruisers. The Mopar set up was too new, so I went with the BTG from PT Tuning/ No Regretes. turbomangt

Richard Zimmerman (PTCC Midwest Director) has a set on his PT. He also sells them. He has installed a set on one of the Colorado PT Cruiser Clubs members car. They sound great and look great. If I was looking for a set, I would those this brand in a heartbeat. If you have any questions, please email me. BE SAFE

turbomangt, Please let us know how your exhaust set up affected performance? Did it help perfromance or just makes you feel better listening to the better music of the exhaust? Does your set up do away with the stock cat?? I think a higher flow cat may be what I really need to put some more performance in my GT! I just dont't want to spend money for looks or noise right now. I do love my
GT but you can never have enough power!! 03 GT, Beltline Pinstripe, K&N Drop In Air Filter, Interior Air Filter, Locking Gas Cap, Metal Racing Pedals, Hood Struts,Presto Change O 3bl Turbo GT sign, Cargo Mat, Billet Oil Cap, Chrome Valve Caps, Shorty Antenna, and Rear Splash Guards. |

I have the Trendsetter but to get performance out of it, you need a cold-air intake since what you are attempting to do is increase air flow throguth the engine. It is not as whiney as an import but don't expect a Flow Master rumble either. It's more like a Magna-Flow since the actual "Muffler" is a glass pack. 15 more hp at the wheels is probable and once you install both, it takes a few weeks for the engines computer to adapt to the increased air flow. My Cruiser is also chipped, has Hedman Headers, throttle body spacer, hot ignition andsoon, nitrous, a 55hp shot. Gas mileage improved also especially when I installed the 180 degree thermostat with the chip module. 195 is too hot since the chip places the timing immediately after TDC. Also, to whoever made the comment about a "highflow cat", these days, all cars come with a high flow cat, there is little difference in an after-market cat.

highanxiety1957,
Welcome to the forum. When you do your searching be sure to look at the top left hand corner of the post to see when it was put on the forum. Your answering a question that was asked 8 years ago and some if not all of the people involved in that thread are no longer around or care about the answer.
