ODD Error Code! Need help

Ok, so I have a 2005 PT Cruiser and the cruise control doesn't work on it and hasn't worked since I've had the car and I'm trying to figure out what's wrong and fix it. I tried pulling the error codes with the key trick and this is what happens.........I put the key in the ignition, turn it on and off 3 times and it flashes up "cruise" and then done. There aren't any numbers or anything with it, just the word cruise comes up and then it just says done. Does anybody know what that means???? I mean, I know cruise doesn't work but does "cruise" mean the problem is the cruise control module? I have no idea why there isn't a number along with it. Any help would be appreciated.

Take it to your local Autozone, O'Reilly or Advance and have them check the codes for you. It's a free service. See what they say. Does your horn work? If not, you may have a bad clock spring inside the steering column. dodgeparts.com has them for $135 plus shipping. The first thing you need to check is the fuse. If the fuse is okay, start checking your vacuum lines and wiring.

Usually the airbag light also comes on with the horn and cruise control if there is a problem with the clock spring.
