Quite sure the base hubcaps are held on with plastic nuts that screw onto the wheel studs - keeps the hubcaps put.
You are correct, my friend. Maybe that is the only way DC can make sure they will stay on!!!

Thanks guy's,it's brand new,I'm the only owner so I guess it doesn't have locks.Goody!!! I'll be putting on my full moons today
If you are going to put full moons on the stock steel rims there is a very good chance your full moons will come flying off. I heard about this when I first got my '01 base. Something about the stock Chrysler rim. I hope yours will stay on. It will look cool.
Mean Green is correct with snap on Full Moons. That is why they make some that are held on with screws but they require some drilling to work

One week down with the new covers and no problems..did some naughty stuff to try and shake them loose...they stayed on
These covers seem to have a much more substantial grip ring on them than most wheel covers I've seen.
So far so good, will be back crying looking for sympathy if I do lose one

Beelsamin,

I have Riken Honeycomb wheels on my Vette and I made custom center caps for them. I was always afraid I would lose one because they just snapped on from the outside and although I have one spare, I really don't want to lose any. I put a piece of masking tape inside the cap with my name and number and hopefully if one ever does come off maybe somebody will find it and give me a call. You might try that with your moons...but with them..they might look pretty beat up if one should happen to fly off. Don't know if you'd want to have it back or not.
