Default Quaife LSD

Snagged a Quaife LSD for the car that I plan to throw in when I swap my new motor in. Any tips and tricks or recommended parts to replace while I'm in the transmission? I figured whatever bearings and seals I can get ahold of wouldn't be a bad idea to replace but I've never worked on the Getrag before. Needless to say I'm pretty excited about this. Twice the traction! So maybe I won't burn rubber ever time I try to launch from a dig.

To bad you can't toss in a new high stall converter while you are at it....

Just do the normal things seals, and maybe use Amzoil for your fluid replacement.

Check with Gold2006 for the best pricing?

Dang I didn't know anyone on the forums dealt with them or I would've checked.

** edit, I realized you were referring to the amzoil not the LSD lol

Well sounds like I was on the right track with various seals and such. I'll have to get some videos of two wheel burnouts once its in.

Yes I did. The reason I needed a bit more than that one had for stall rate. So I had another one custom built (these are hand built to order) for a slightly.... higher (lots) stall rate and all the "kool" internal "race" stuff...... Can't say what I paid for that "BAD BOY" even with the courtesy business discount it still hurt. But hey sometime you have to pay to play. And as they say "SPEED COSTS HOW FAST DO YOU WANT TO GO?"

Haha I love the note. Awesome. Where do you get your converters built at? There's a few guys in MN that run autos at the track but I hear they destroy their converters quite often.

I think I got lost somewhere...

Maybe the joke went over my head?

Isn't the purple people eater a Getrag? If so, why would he need/want a converter?

Let us know how you like it.

Yes I simply read about the Quaife LSD and got excited that he got one. I have one myself but it is for my 41te?A604.
So the joke is sorta on me considering I know what transmission he has and we have talked many time on the phone about it and other things.

Obviously I have already been pointed out the manual transmission thing in this response and have addressed it in the last response.

But for other members that do get any type of locking differential for their automatic transmission PT Cruiser or for that matter any vehicle doing upgrades on their automatics differential this information applies.

Besides I have both! 41TE waiting to be built and a very nice 6speed.

My Getreg is a custom built with many one off internal parts and a PG gear set with straight cur gears. Its only the ring and pinion so it will only slightly wine a little less then say a Pete Jackson Gear Drive on a small block Chevy

Just freshly taken pictures.
