Default Cruise Control Issue

Looking for some suggestions to cure this issue. 2005 GT turbo, the cruise control cycles. Set at 75 mph and it drifts down to 66-68 mph after a minute or so. Set it back at 75 and it drifts back down 66-68 mph. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

check the vacuum lines to the CC solenoid canister. There's also a check valve on the brake booster and a vacuum line that runs across the firewall to the CC.canister.
I haven't worked on a PT in many years so this from RAM (rarily accessed memory)

Usually use the cruise control on interstate. I really haven't tried it at a lower speed. Next time I get a chance I'll give it a try. Also I'll check out the vacuum hoses, although there are only 32,000 miles on the car, the hoses are over 10 yrs old so they may be cracked from age. I'll have to check it out.

Thanks for the help.

Heading to NY, since the car will garaged I decided to resolve cruise control issue when I get back down to Florida. Didn't want anyone to think I wasn't grateful for the quick responses.

my cruise control is not working on this car since i bought it few months ago, being in and out of the bonnet doing the plugs and leads and coil recently ive got to notice the cruise cable is somewhat slacker and loose, than the throttle this normal? could be the cause of the issue back to that unit in the corner?
