Default Mounts #2

Thanks for helping out with my post for info on the upper/lower right side motor mounts. NOW I have questions about the left side trans mount (yes mine is an automatic). Before I start taking the air box etc apart to get to it, can anyone tell me some do's and dont's ? Do I have to jack the engine for this one ?

Transmission mount . Why are you changing it. The 41TE mount design exceeds the location and support needed for a PT Cruiser.

I was going to change it out thinking it to might be shot like the left side motor mounts, and hoping it might solve any other vibrations.

That mount rarely if ever goes bad. It does not work like the struts and lower engine mount on the right side so it is less likely to break or wear out if any the other go bad and tax it. But it easy enough to change.

i call that the "broke my neck mount" in honor of pluminator.

i had that mount out when i did the clutch and it wasn't a big deal, IMO. mine was shot but i reused it anyways. even when i was beating on the car it wasn't making any funny noises and i preferred the extra $$ over the new mount

I had forgotten about him and some of his posts. Wonder what happened to him?

Maybe I should stop making the comment "easy enough" to change something.
