Question P0218 & P0714

PT is at the dealer and found the subject stored codes and aren't sure if I should be concerned?? P0218 (Transmission High Temp Operation Activated) & P0714 (Transmission Temp. Sensor 1 intermittent) To me it seems i need a new Transmission Temp 1 sensor (or a bad wire/connection). Thoughts? As always, thanks in advance!

Default Re: P0218 & P0714

I recently had the same codes come up on my '06 PT, and also P1684 ...

Also, recently, I noticed that as I am driving at higher speeds (40+) the car seems to "jolt" forward with extra "oomph" and then sometimes it will seem that it's a bit lower on power ... However, I'm not seeing any specific jump in RPM's to account for the extra jolt/power....

Also, don't know if it'll help any one in the future... but I believe my TIPM is bad, as the driver low-beam headlight has been disabled and also the low-speed of my radiator fan has either been disabled or has malfunctioned in some manner.
