Default AC Insulation ?

Ok, the temp is getting hot, and I can only imagine what the temp is under the hood. Since the AC lines run very cold, do you think it would be beneficial to put pipe insulation around the lines?

Nobody else needs it. Can't be any hotter than it is in my neck of the woods right now. Heat index with humility making it feel like 100F and the A/C works fine.

Look up how AC works on a vehicle and you will answer your own question.
But the simple answer is NO do not wrap your AC lines.

^^^^^ Higher ventilation temperatures in your AC. This leads to unforgettable driving condition and irritability.

Street Logic has one believe that wrapping AC components will help lower the air temperatures in the passenger compartment .

I dont know about that comment?

I would have said if Chrysler knew something would cost them more they would not have done it and found a way to eliminate it?
