Default Aftermarket Air System

I see a lot of members have removed their original air box and filter and switched over to air intake kits like K&N, Airraid or similar styles. My questions are,
Do you see any marked improvement in mpg, horsepower or the like?
For the ones running turbo engines, what did you do with the small crankcase breather hose that ran from the air box to the engine?
Finally, are you glad you changed over or would you like to go back original?
Thanks

NO CAI on a Turbo model replacing the stock air box works to improve better then the factory air box.
But they do look and sound good.

I have a small hose that runs from the side of the air cleaner box to the engine and then has a clamp on it. I have an 05 GT turbo, what would that be?

It is the breather or vent side for the PCV system. You should not have it blocked or clamped in the stock PCV system configuration..

The hose I bought came from the dealer with the small clamp on it, I replaced the hose as it was split. The hose I am referring to is part number 4884289A engine crankcase breather hose. So back to my original question, when switching to an aftermarket Air breather kit, what do you do as far as this hose or does the kit contain it's own breather hose?

Different CAI kits install it in different locations on their supplied parts. Most are in the tube/hose area provided for the breather hose/tube. You would need to either show a specif CAI or my general answer to the question.
