Default Radiator Fan does not run when AC is on

I just got an 06 2.4 NON Turbo. I noticed the air was not running well and when I checked I found the high side VERY high. So I checked the coolant fan and it is not running. I hot wired the fan and it started to run. So for some reason it is not turning on with the ac.

I checked the fuse and it is OK and has power.
There is two relays on the firewall witch I swapped and nothing changed.
I checked for power at the fan connector and found none.

Any ideas?
What shall I check?

Is your engine light on? If so what are the engine trouble codes?

Does the radiator fan kick on when the engine temperature gauge reaches the normal temperature mark without the A/C on?

Before you hot wired the radiator fan, with the engine cold, turning on the A/C did the radiator fan come on?

The 2 fan relays for your PT are mounted on the fan assembly on the passenger side.

Ptcruisersteve,

No there are no engine codes.
The radiator fan does come on when the water temp is hot.
It does not come on when the ac runs.

Do you have these radiator fan relays as shown on the image below?

Well then that is not normal and it appears that someone has made a "modification" of some kind. Can you please post a pic and the location of the relays on the firewall that you switched?

The fan should come on immediately with the a/c.

RKSTEIN,
I think you hit it right on. It seems the mounting bracket for the relays is missing [I found the mounting holes] and upon greater inspection I think it may have broke. The wires were shortened and re routed to the drivers side bottom by the fan connection and wire tied in place slightly out of sight.

Pulled the relays and found the bad one.
All good now, cost 12$. Local shop wanted 800$ for a new compressor.... Whart d - bags.
