no crank problem

Default no crank problem

here is what happened driving in a bad rain storm and my 2004 pt stopped running pulled over tried to restart turned the key nothing I have dash lights locks windowes had it towed home I have checked the starter power on it but not on post with key engaged changed the starter relay and tried to check for codes but no power on the plug could it be the computer if so how do u check it are they a main fuse that supplies the computer any help is greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum. If you have a moment you can introduce yourself to the forum and post some information about your PT Cruiser.

I would suggest you check fuse #13 ASD (20amp). You might have a short somewhere caused by the rain and it blew the fuse.

Is your security red little light on on the dash?

Have you verified there is no voltage going to the solenoid from the ignition switch? Sometimes the ignition actuator goes bad.

If the ASD fuse is good and there is no security light on I would suggest checking the ground wires going to the inside drivers side fender. Sometimes the group of ground wires corrode and lose contact.

I believe the ground for the starter is bolted to transmission / engine.
