Was the engine trouble codes reset with an OBDII Scan Tool?

When the battery is disconnected there are several readiness monitors that need to run a drive cycle. Of all of them the O2 and Evap are the hardest ones to get to complete. Some members have had to drive up to 200 miles to get these two to complete.

Below might be a quicker way to get these two readiness to complete.

Evaporative System Monitor Drive
PreConditioning Requirements:
a. MIL must be off.
b. No Evaporative DTCs present.
c. Fuel level is between and full.
Driving Procedure
1. Idle vehicle for five minutes - to reach closed loop operation.
2. Drive with a steady vehicle speed between 30 and 45 mph for 2 minutes.

O2 Sensor Heater Monitor Drive
Preconditioning Requirements:
a.MIL must be off.
Driving Procedure
1) Idle vehicle for five minutes (to reach closed loop operation).
2) Shut engine off and leave vehicle off for ten minutes.

Just had the same happen to me here in PA.. Our inspection allows 1 emission monitor not ready and it will still pass. No codes or blinking lights. I was past 100 miles.

Yes codes where erased before the miles. Codes werected for a bad high speed fan relay now there are no more. Kinda hard to do it from a cold soak since it in North Carolina high 80s 90s 100% humidity doesn't get cold. I can try idling the car for the o2 sensor. Issues is the car speedometer jumps all over the place most the time so I'm not sure if that's playing a role in it. Both speed sensors have been replaced and still continues.
