As I was driving there was a flashing CEL. Then I stopped for a few minutes. Then drove now it's solid orange. I tried the key trick no code .

Any ideas? Should I disconnect the battery?

I would suggest taking it to an auto parts store where they can put their OBDII Scan Tool on it and tell you what the codes are for free.

New plugs are recommended every 30,000 miles, new wires every 60,000 miles. Has your PT had the timing belt replacement done?

Yes, timing belt, water pump, thermostat and new drive belts.
They replaced all lifters and rockers, new spark plug housings as wee at 70k before the extended warranty ended...not to mention a new manual tranny
