Question Sorry for asking but I can't find anything about brakes

As in what other cars have the same ones. Are they sourced from Mercedes?
Saw a car for sale recently and it needed all new front brakes and I though at 100 all in that was a bit expensive(parts only I'd be fitting).Just done the same job on my daughters Fiat 500 and it was 21, yes really 21.

G'day Trillion!

I don't know who manufactures genuine parts for Mercedes-Benz. MOPAR manufacture genuine parts for Chrysler. Dimensions for rotors vary between makes and models, so I wouldn't rely on any parts from a Mercedes for a PT Cruiser.

If you'd like the specifications for components, including rotors, we can provide them for you. You don't need to use genuine MOPAR parts, but you must use equivalent, quality aftermarket parts which meet or exceed the same specifications for YOUR make/model (PT Cruiser)

Mercedes, BMW, etc tend to charge A LOT of money for their parts, compared to other carmakers. The parts aren't necessarily better, they're just, expensive
chuzz likes this.

I'm OK thanks for the offer of specs.
I just wondered if they were Mercedes as they can be cheaper over here because they are more common and there is more competition. I have a Rover right now that has BMW running gear and brakes and the BMW items are cheaper to buy than the identical Rover ones.
