Default Anybody ever fixed their Cruise Control-unit???

Or stripped it open/seen whats in there???

Mine has never worked and i cant find too much on it.... (but i do get a clicking when i press it heard inside the car from under the bonnet in the corner at the unit) the cable is slack somewhat compared to the accelerator cable but i dont know what thats suppost to look like even when its in good order so that could be normal...

the other week i took the thin vacuum hose off the top of the unit and quickly shoved it back on when it proceeded to hiss as me! so the thing is not completley zonked.....

I want to attack this next then my air con then im pretty much home and dry, any experience appreciated.

OK, that means it's getting power to the switch...so that's not the problem.
The cable has a little slack in it, so that's normal.

What you want to check next is the vacuum reservoir...
It's under the passenger side wheel well plastic/bumper.
Check that the hose is hooked up & that it's not cracked.

Wow, OK! and actually lion now might be a good time to run this by you if i may.. i was gonna get around to opening a new thread about this but i still could, anyway here it is...

pretty much the only two things ive not fixed to now is this cruise and the air con plus ive got a hard wired manually switched fan which works fine (unless you dont turn it on) just so you know. now i found a taped up connector....or half of the connector in this state, ill add the pics, now this wire comes thru near my steering wheel (or your passenger upper corner) and it was cable tied to the vacuum that runs to the back of the upper intake but its not one of those connectors, but was lying/hovering in mid air kind of over the 2 drive belts area....

i have for now retaped it in yellow tape with a question mark on, up out of harms way tied to near the firewall/'cruise servo' untill i get to knowing what it is, do you recognize it?

and big thanks!

That looks like the plug to your A/C compressor, it's usually jumped like for testing purposes only. Remove the jump & plug it in.

I don't know a lot about A/C, so someone else is going to have to help with that.
