Default 2005 2.4l no crank, no start. Need help!!!!!

wife took car to carwash, after attendant cleaned windows, etc. she got in to leave, turned key and nothing. They tried jumpstarting and got nothing. Also the reverse lights stay on with key in run position no matter which gear its in (automatic).
Things I checked:
1. battery has good voltage and had load tested
2.all fuses in pdc good(asd,ign start,ign run,pwr)
3.swapped horn relay with starter relay, asd relay
4. fuel pump comes on
5. dash lights, radio windows all work
6. red light goes out after a few seconds
7. 0 volts at solenoid start wire with key in start position
8. jump pins 30-87 in starter relay cavity engine cranks
9. jump solenoid with screwdriver engine cranks
10. pins 30,85,86 on starter relay all have 12 volts with key to start
11. 0 volts pin 87 with key to start
12. grounded pin 86 on starter relay with key to start engine cranks

Need some ideas of what else to check. Don't know if the reverse lights problem could be related, they were fine before. All ideas would be greatly appreciated.

The reverse lights problem is new? If that is the case, I would guess it is the neutral safety switch (or whatever you call it on the automatic) that is keeping it from starting. If the car thinks that it is reverse it shouldn't crank. I would follow the wiring chart and try to figure out where it went wrong.

Also, pull the center console & check that the cable is still attached to the shifter.

The cable would have to be attached since i was able to shift into neutral to tow it home. Is there a switch for the reverse lights? Wher would the neutral safety switch be located? I have a Haynes manual and i can't find the switch in there and their wiring diagrams stink.

I know close to nothing about the automatics, but I was able to download the 2003 Chrysler manual online. You can probably find a link someplace. Maybe even here. Sorry that I don't have one now, but this isn't the computer I saved it on.

It turned out to be the transmission range sensor that had a broken pin on the part inside the transaxle. looking at the wiring diagram, it is the switch for the backup lights. thanks for all the help.
