Default oil leak

I am trying to find where exactly the oil leak is coming from,I was looking on this site and found a pic of where the leak is coming from,at first I thought it was the hose because the sleeve had oil all over it,and then I put my hand right above the hose and it was dripping from right above that, now i tried to look and see what it could be looked at engine diagrams and everything but couldn't get a clear view,so if anyone can help its the green area in the pic not the red,the leak has to be what is above the hose,so if you were in front of the car its deff on the right side of the engine its dripping right on to the power steering hoses so does anyone know what is in that area that's leaking?

Get a bottle of Tracer Products Dye-Lite and use a florescent light & you'll see (maybe) where your leak is coming from.

patriots,

Welcome to the forum. Your using pictures from a post back in 2012. Does anything in that post help you to figure out where the leak is coming from? The hose as you know, is a high pressure power steering hose. Have you looked at the power steering reservoir for the leak?

Older thread: This is leaking. Help me find out where it goes to?

No because mine isn't power steering fluid its oil,and its not the hose that's leaking its something right above the hose, but I cant get a good look at it that's why I was asking if anyone knows whats above that hose that could be leaking oil I mean its literally leaking strait down the oil pan oil filter are nowhere near it,if someone could let me know whats directly above that ps hose?

Is it dripping from the backside (more towards the firewall than the radiator)? That might indicate a blown oil pressure sending unit. I had to replace them in both my PT's recently. Both were leaking oil in that area.

Good thought but it's like the leak is more towards the side of the engine nearer the radiator fan ....I believe.

That is the driver's side. If you go any more towards the driver's fender after this you would be at the transmission not the engine.

If you see a bunch of oil around this connector, maybe even inside the cardboard sleeve, then you'll know that's were it's coming from.

The leak of the Oil Pressure sensor wouldn't come up as a fault but if there's something wrong with the sensor itself, then yes, it comes up as P0522 or maybe another one.
