Default Opinions on the 2.0 engine?

I'm looking at a Neon for my daughter... Are the 2.0 engines reliable? Any common known issues I should be aware of? Aside from regular maintenance... Has under 80k with an auto.

What year? Early Neons (in the 90s) has 3-speed autos that were tough.
I had a couple of '95s that went well over 100,000 and were quite reliable and gave good mileage.
